RE: Maintenance on all Carlson office software working inside AutoCad or Map, including all Carlson SurvCADD versions 98, 2000, CES, XML, XML2, 2006, and the current Carlson 2007 products Survey, Civil, GIS, Hydro, Mining (UG, GEO, Surface, Blasting, Hole Manager, Elogger)
Attention: All existing and new customers
Effective July 1st, Carlson Software implemented a new Maintenance Policy.
Case 1 – If your maintenance is current:
For users that are current on their maintenance to extend maintenance for 12 months, the rate can be calculated by the following method:
10% of the Full 1st seat retail price, plus
9% of the Full 2nd seat retail price, plus
8% of the Full 3rd seat retail price, plus
7% of the Full 4th seat retail price, plus
6% of the Full 5th seat retail price, plus
For 6 or more seats: 5% of the Full seat retail price of each additional seat.
(In all cases the Full Retail 1st price is based on the current version of the software)
Case 2 – If you are any version behind, and your maintenance is expired:
15% of the Full 1st retail value for each seat
For large users with 6 or more seats of software at a location, this represents a maintenance charge of 7.5% or less if current. For companies with just a few seats of software, this formula may actually represent a price decrease. We expect this structure will be in effect for a while. The maintenance you pay goes to keep our products current with the platform changes brought about by Microsoft and Autodesk, together with new features we bring you with each new upgrade.
When you run the calculations you will see that staying current on maintenance will save you money and help us to continue to deliver state-of-the-art software at affordable prices.
Sincerely,
Bruce Carlson
